Instructions

Read all the instructions thoroughly before you start your test session and follow them carefully:

  1. Start a freshly opened browser session, single tab. Open only one LMS URL, i.e. the quiz. Do not have multiple sessions open in multiple tabs/browsers.
  2. It is strongly recommended to take the exam from a laptop or PC - they have the better processing power and page loading than other devices.
  3. Recommended browsers & versions:
    • Chrome 91 and 93
    • Firefox 90 and 91
    • Edge 91 and 93
    • Safari 13 and 14 (Macintosh only)
  4. Recommended speeds:
Download - minimum of 1 Mbps
Upload - minimum of 1 Mbps
  5. Do not close the quiz browser window/tab before submission, even if your network connection fails.
  6. The quiz timer will continue to run even if your network connection fails, or if your browser application crashes or you simply close your browser and exit. The quiz will auto-submit, when the timer runs out and you haven't submitted by then.
  7. You can submit the test only once. After that, you cannot submit again.
  8. After due date and availability time, you cannot access the test.
  9. There are good chances that your quiz locks questions after you answer them, or leave them unanswered. Make sure you move on only after answering the question.
  10. For essay type questions, the quiz saves your answers as you type them once in a while. However it is a good practice to type out your answer in a notepad and paste them onto the rich content editor before submission.
  11. For file upload questions, try to stick to smaller file sizes - the smaller the better, not exceeding 5MB. Do not switch question when the upload is in progress.
  12. If you closed your quiz tab/window by accident, or if the session becomes inactive due to a network failure - DO NOT panic.
    1. Simply get to the quiz page - go the LMS URL and click on the current quiz link on the right-hand side of the dashboard (to-do list)
      1. If you are unable to find the quiz page URL by now, check your course to-do on the course page.
    2. On the quiz page, click on "Resume Quiz."
    3. If there is prolonged delay due to a network failure, inform the instructor of the same.
